But, the following has been added for the weekend: Saturday: - 31st July - Hot Dogs, Chips and Juice for lunch (12:30 Lodge Deck) - Pontoon Boat Rides (Following Lunch) - Duck Race, get your duck from Gretchen by lunch - Mixed Horseshoe Tourney 1pm (Adults Only) - Family Bingo - 6:30 pm at lodge - "Karaoke" Night at the lodge 9:30 PM (Adult event) All Sundays - (NEW) Sewing Sunday mornings at 10 am….anyone wishing to join us is more than welcome to come to the lodge….also anyone who doesn’t sew but has a hobby they want to work on can come out Sunday morning too. Our work party have again successfully carried out extensive repairs and maintenance during the past two weeks. Thanks to all who have participated. Pictures and accomplishments to follow soon!!! All rental lots have been filled for 2010. Welcome to all new campers. As dictated during the Spring meeting, a slow expansion of LPCC will occur. This year, 2 lots were finished on Regina and a further 4 were started (Comox) and will possibly be finished next Spring. ______________________________________________________________________ Our MissionThe Lake Pleasant Campers Club is established under the authority of the Wing Commander, 14 Wing Greenwood. It shall be operated in accordance with regulations and orders governing the operation of Recreation Clubs in the Canadian Forces.
The objectives of the Club shall be:
Club ProfileThe 75 acre campground was purchased by RCAF Station Greenwood in 1958, to be used as a morale and welfare facility for serving airmen/women and officers. In 1977, control of the campground was passed from the CFB Greenwood Town Council to CFB Greenwood NPF. It is now under the guidance of the 14 Wing Greenwood PSP/Recreation Director. As a PSP Club, LPCC has the privilege of being responsible for the safe keeping and day to day operation of the campground. Members of the Club volunteer their time to perform maintenance duties and arrange entertainment activities for young and old.
The 14 Wing Campground is managed by Joe Lejeune. He is assisted by Jack and Emily. The Club has an executive that works with the manager and liaises with 14 Wing Greenwood on important issues for the betterment of the club.
Success of the club belongs to all the volunteers who make the committees work.
