LPCC & Jr Ranks Annual Children's Fishing Derby
This is an invitation to
all you youngsters up to age 15 to come out on
June 16, 2012 at Lake
Pleasant Campers Club and register to participate in our
annual CHILDREN’S FISHING DERBY.
Registration will begin bright and early Saturday
morning at 8 AM at the Camp Lodge and cost will be $2
per child. All registered participants and volunteers
will then meet in the Camp Lodge to receive rules and
instructions at 08:45 with the Derby officially
beginning at 9 AM and continuing until 11 AM. Prizes,
certificates and lunch will commence at 11:30.
Last year we had approximately 47 registered children.
Let's see if we can surpass that this year! As mentioned
last year,
"if it’s alive, wiggles like a
fish, looks like a fish, and can swim away after being
measured, then it counts as a fish"! There are
great prizes to be won by each and every registered
participant followed by the traditional Hot Dog BBQ.

Boating License and Pleasure Craft
Operator Card?
 The fine is $250
without it!

The format for the
boating course has changed slightly from
a 36 question exam to a 5 part course
followed by an exam.
The price to complete the course on-line
is $50.00 compared to $75.00 – 100.00
for an in person course. The test can be
taken as many times as needed to achieve
a passing grade. (after a 24 hour
waiting period)
It is recommended that the person be the
minimum age of 8 years old.
A card will be mailed to your residence
3-4 weeks after the completion of the
course and the card is good for a life
time.
· The Classroom Course is
approximately 3 hours
· Includes the Transport Canada
accredited exam at the end of the course
· Recognized and approved by
Transport Canada
· Designed for both the experienced
and novice boater
· Course is designed for ages 8 yrs
and up
· A temporary card is issued on
site if you passed the test
· A permanent Pleasure Craft Operator
Card is mailed to your home if you
passed the test.
